Just got Ending A last night, started Route B and immediately got Ending G on accident, which was hilarious. Then I had to redo the slow robot opening of B again, which was double hilarious.

I haven't even tried the fists yet, just been using shockwave +6 on the fastest weapon I have

the engine blade at level 4 gives you the ffxv dodge and damage numbers

that race is best one using nonstop dash dodging with a lucky perfect dodge to slow down time, if you have the good chips it gives you four seconds longer than the normal run

this game is awesome and graphics card warriors are just doing their thing

I think the strength of the game will out live the whining about capped frame rates

I'm working on 100%ing this right now before I do ending d and e, but I got c and that was heavy

Its trivial to get the platinum because of a late game mechanic but getting in-game 100% would take a while

you have to grind 20 pure waters which have a very low spawn chance in two places in one zone. you get 6 for free one time

Should i feel obligated to do every side quest on my first play through or can I hold off on some of these. I am getting a little burnt out after doing every single one up to the forest.

do the ones you like. the chievo for it just requires you to do 80% and you get chapter select eventually

a lot of the quests are easy / done on the way, and the stories are usually pretty good

this game just broke my heart

FINAL ENDING SPOILER I was going through Ending E, and I'm extremely lovely at bullet hells. I didn't even want to bother after a certain point but I really wanted to be able to save someone else, and I figured since it was constantly giving me the option to be saved that you'd have to beat the ending properly in order to do so. The game slowly downgrades the difficulty over time, which was very nice even though I just thought I was changing up my tactics. But eventually it "downgrades" so much that it decides you won't ever beat it and just makes all the enemies invincible, even if you choose to get saved. I spent about two hours straight trying my hardest

the tedium is very deliberate and I liked how the first game explicitly berated you for trying to get everything and do every quest for no reason other than for completion or gamer obligation. I dont really find that in this game tho and I'm not doing anything past the super boss but it really is a special game

it seems fitting with the games story and themes that you can avoid the grind and tedium if you swallow your pride and just buy the hievos. I don't regret it and will be doing another playthrough soon
