So I got the bridge and the biker chicks and hell investigation minigame but I can't tell what to do next I can see why the TXT WORLD thing wears out its welcome, but it's really because the drat sword should have had a stow button or something

Alright I discovered some more things and I have the orange key now, but that Keygen in the tree says "orange key not available" when I try to use it, what gives

This game is fantastic and everything I wanted it to be I really liked the base game, with more content it could be a cool full fledged game, the tree cutting's a neat mechanic

So, it sounds like this is more of a $5 game than a flippin $20 one then? That sucks, I just replayed FF1 after not having done so in a long time and it's stupidly charming with how silly it is but how connected its little universe remained throughout. Is FF2 not really structured like that?

its like a 2d zelda game except with a dozen cool minigames in it and the triforce pieces you pick up are weird and stupid and sometimes make up things about korn

FF2 is great. FF2 has absolutely nothing in common with 2D zelda games.

Beat the game and got to the true ending (I think) with the skyrim opinions. I saw a few weird things throughout my gameplay I haven't seen mentioned elsewhere yet, since I haven't found any other good FF2 threads. 1) A couple of times I saw a duplicate version of me running into a teleporter. Not sure if that's meaningful, or just a VVVVVV reference 2) At one point, I started getting english letters in between my glyphs. I never was able to figure out what caused it or how to replicate it after I quit that session.

I am stuck and I'm pretty sure I'm just dumb. I brought the bridge onto the blimp (which is now named LIMB SPEWER?) and I can't get the bridge OFF of the blimp because it won't follow me out. I have a bunch of orange keys, plus a grey and a white from the blimp, but no other colors. My best guess is that I have to find more pears, use pears to turn a key green, use that to somehow...? Like, ultimately I want the cyan key to open the door in the first room to open the gift shop, but is that a red herring because I already painted myself orange? It seems like TXT World doesn't really have an overarching like... path? It's just a bunch of disconnected individual bits, and I'm too young to have nostalgia for games from that memory-breadcrumb era of game design. edit: Alternatively, I can load my game, which puts me at Storage with nothing orange so I have to walk back to get that? Was this game designed for one sitting or am I missing something? DACK FAYDEN fucked around with this message at 07:16 on Jan 23, 2017 |

storage should have a orange key in it, and you can go to the keygen after you get painted orange to get other keys

Oh, if Storage has an orange key that'll save the walk back to the keygen and I can just... uh, take the bridge somewhere, I'm sure. I am not used to the mental gymnastics that thing gave me.

DACK FAYDEN posted:I am stuck and I'm pretty sure I'm just dumb. There's something about the blimp tree room that means the bridge disappears there - but it'll appear again on the other side of that room There seem to be a stack of ways to progress through the game, I never thought of painting myself or a key and finished it. You can get to a bunch of weird places with the bridge.
