I am a big champion of the Cinderella remake (it looks good, has great music, it's a really good adaptation of the original and a good adaption of Cinderella in general!!) but I haven't seen any of the others... are any of them actually good? Like the Lion King one seems unnecessary, and BatB wasn't great either, was it?

The Cinderella remake is super good, way better than the original. This from someone who loving hates the remakes, even the ones people liked like Jungle Book which was hot loving garbage that belongs in the trash can. The BatB remake is blood-shittingly awful.

Cinderella strikes me as one of the most forgettable Disney Princess movies, along with Sleeping Beauty. I don't even know if I've seen either but you certainly don't see much content relating to them.

Beauty and the Beast added unnecessary plot beats like Belle's dead mom (and it never gets resolved for the one person who actually gives a gently caress about it), they hosed up the timing of the songs, and good lord the dress is worse than some amateur productions I've seen.
