I think we can rule out most GMs, GM seems to be a fan of putting the gas filler on the passenger side on most of their cars. I think Mopar keeps it on the passenger side on most of their modern stuff too, don't they?

All I really have to go on is that left rear wheel, I can't think of anyone that still uses a big cap over the lugnuts though (you can kind of see where it should fit). It looks too new for anything I can think of that would use that type of wheel, I've been sitting here doing google image searches of various midsize and fullsize sedans and can't find a match. :sigh:

The gently caress happened to it anyway? Someone kick it down a mountain into a bonfire?

There's a lot more to go on. Door handles on the body line. Body line that blends into pronounced flares in the sheet metal. front fenders that meet the bumper on a horizontal plane. The fact that it was recently on fire.

In conclusion,

That's because you're canadian.

Spotting one here without aftermarket wheels and a million other gaudy stick ons is almost impossible. They replaced the PT Cruiser for the stupid stick on poo poo.

They, uh, do cater to a slightly different crowd than the PT. But yeah, after all of that being pointed out.... that has to be a first gen 300. Mods plz award all of the points to Powershift

The only one I've ever seen without tacky wheels was one a friend owned... and it was because she was spending too much money on keeping the goddamned thing running. She bought it brand new with ~20 miles.

I think it was on its.. 12th? alternator (all dealer, mostly warranty) and probably half as many batteries. She finally gave up, did a 180, and got a BRZ a few weeks ago. The 300 only had ~30k when she traded it in (think it was a 2014 or 2015); every time I rode in it, it picked a new and exciting way to fail (usually involving the charging or pushbutton start).

Yea she got crushed. A few people were interested but backed out and it was taking up space and had to go. It needed lots of work but ran and drove.

Yeah that's not a '72, which would also have an FE anyway. I think you're right about the correct years.

I am relieved to see that nothing of value was lost, except a running 460.

If it makes you feel better, the 460 was around 200 hp at the time... if that.

The 351M in my 1980 F-150 was rated at 137 hp/257 ft/lb (when it was new.... I guarantee it wasn't putting out close to that when I got it, it could barely one-wheel-peel if you stood on the brakes, and couldn't do any kind of wheel spin once moving, even in the rain around corners). I'm sure the 460 had gobs more torque, but it's a smog era motor; I can't see it having a whole lot more hp at the time.

Don't know what motor it has other than its a v8 with a 2 barrel carb.

It was last registered in 95 and the PO said it drove before it was parked. If i get some time before we scrap it ill see if i can get it to run. doesn't look like it would take much.

Picked up an oldie today.

1930 something Austin.

Looks like it was sitting 30+ years. it was sunk into the ground upto the floor boards. When i pulled up it didn't even look like it had tires, oh and it was parked at an abandoned house over run with crackheads.

One of the tires still had air in it.
