It'd think it would be patently obvious that Ford only cares about endurance racing and building the EcoBoost brand around that. Hell, its the only type of racing actually drawing manufacturers to it. It wouldn't surprise me to see CGR draw down to two cars and concentrate the bulk of its effort(and better drivers) with Ford on IMSA/Le Mans.

The 1996 New Hampshire IRL race is a great look into those early days. Tony Stewart nearly had the entire field 3 laps down only for his Menard Buick to do as it was born to do and die.
