Quite frankly, they didnt do nearly as much for the series as I was hoping. Essentially zero activation that I ever saw. I heard that app was good, but I never had Verizon so I wouldn't know and I never met anyone even aware of it.

Whole deal is kind of a shame. Hope they can find another sponsor.

You'll be shocked SHOCKED to learn that Oliver Askew, the guy who dominated F2000, was fastest in his first test in the new Pro Mazda car:

http://motorsports.nbcsports.com/2017/10/23/mrti-chris-griffis-test-sunday-times-and-notebook/

Also Franzoni, moving up to Lights, posted some good times.

Sigh, guess they are going to do the numbers on the rear wing, even if it is so tiny in speedway config.

At least most of the cars have different paint schemes so it's easier to ID.

i dont think the series has told em to do anything yet, so it could change

Ah man, thats a huge bummer. I was excited for Daly to learn from a vet like TK.

It's not a surprise to see Leist moving up, British F3 champs who win Lights races right away tend to move up, but I didn't expect it to be Daly that got replaced. Maybe there is a chance for him at Coyne, but frankly Ed Jones getting the boot would be an even bigger travesty.

So on the bench and publicly looking for a full time seat, weve got:

~The Experience Zone~
Kimball (linked to Carlin)
Chilton (linked to Carlin)
Daly
Munoz
Hildebrand

~The Made a few Starts and Seem Like a Good Dude Zone~
Jack Harvey
Stef Wilson

~The Real Fast Lights Guys Zone~
Kyle Kaiser
Santi Urrutia

~The Pretty Fast Lights Guys Zone BRING MONEY~
Zach Clem Demelo
Dean Stoneman
JP Garcia
Shelby Blackstock
Neil Alberico
Juan Piedrahita

And theres lots of other names like Guttierez, Telitz, Enerson, Davison, Vautier, Saavedra, and Aleshin still floating around out there, but i havent really heard them tied to anything. All those other names have been dropped in a Racer article. We need 26 cars.

Oh snap! That owns hard. Just a few weeks ago, Jones was saying he was expecting to be back at Coyne if anywhere at all, and now hes in a CGR seat. drat.

Sucks that Hartley won't be coming over, but hes living his dream.

I sorta expected a bit of a bidding war for Pigot and Jones, but Pigot smartly took the full time ride right in front of him. Cool to see the young guys progress.

Even a midfield ride in F1 will net him more cash than his entire time in IndyCar so far and then he'd definitely be set for life.

I don't think thats really true anymore. Newgarden is probably making ~$2.5-3m or so a year on his Penske deal. According to this dumb thing thats probably wrong that I just googled, there are only 7 drivers in F1 making more than that.

http://www.express.co.uk/pictures/sport/10931/F1-driver-salary-paid-most-sportgalleries/Esteban-Ocon-214651

I don't think he would go over there unless the salary was higher AND it was a front running car. Which because F1's power/money structure is comically broken, is pretty much the same thing anyway. Also hes got at least another year on his Penske deal, which there is a zero percent chance of him getting out of.

Rookies and those outside the Top 10 in points may get an extra set of blacks at race weekends. I like the idea for the rookies, for sure.

The number switch is probably due to sponsorship stuff i imagine. 98 still technically has a different ownership structure than the other cars. Their engineers are swapping too, so its not that.

IndyCar heard Andretti's whining, and teams that weren't chosen for manufacturer testing will get an extra test day. Its actually a better deal than it sounds, because the teams that did the manufacturer testing werent allowed to keep their data.

Small increase in minimum weight for next year to give them some breathing room for the aeroscreen later, but it also mentions that the increased side impact protection has added nearly ~15lbs of material to each tub. Good to see.
