Oh yeah, I keep forgetting that the Symphogear writer did Wild Arms. I might give 3 a look at some point!
There's actually some cute callbacks to Wild Arms in Symphogear. Like the gag in S1 when the Tower of Balal shows up and one of the FIS agents googles it and says 'I just get guides for old RPGs I've never heard of!", because the bonus dungeon in the wild arms series was also called the tower of balal.

oh also tsubasa's american producer from s1 is named tony, 'cause tony is the wild arms equivalent to cid

i've been reading fate/stay night and it's actually really good after the initial hump of them taking a huge chunk of fate to explain everything

i didn't know what to expect going into fate and i'd only known about some stuff in fate/zero and some ubw spoilers so i was pleasantly surprised when despite a whole lot of hosed up stuff happening, unlimited blade works is actually a really optimistic story and even the true end goes off on a note of "yeah, shirou and rin are gonna be ok"
fate/stay night is an insanely optimistic story about how everyone has their own reasons for doing the things they do and their own views of the world, and they all deserve some sort of sympathy. it's about nobody is beyond redemption and it's never too late to change yourself, so long as you don't give up or get stuck in your ways.

natch. everyone jerks off about power levels and how hosed UP fate/zero is

I hope I don't sound like a complete retard when it comes to this stuff. But I've got a Kindle Paperwhite and I just realized that reading black and white manga looks really good on it. I'm currently reading One Punch Man at the suggestion of my friend.

I don't read many comics or manga at all but I am really into horror as a genre over all and would like to start reading more. I just hopped on the Uzumaki torrent but I'm looking for more recommendations of horror. The caveat I guess is that it has to be in black and white since it's a Paperwhite.
check oout pretty much all of junji ito's work, not just uzumaki. I Am A Hero is a pretty decent zombie thing but it gets all over the place towards the end and just kinda fizzles out.
