Not to mention that most trucking firms are skinflinting motherfuckers who flaunt safety violations. Most truck tires are tissue-thin with some lovely retread slapped on it, which can also kill you as it comes flying off. I personally knew a guy that died after pulling his car over on the highway to fix a flat on the outside wheel, away from the highway. Some semi run by a crook had retread come off and a huge chunk hit the guy in the head and he died instantly. They never figured out which truck it had come off.
