If you get onto 1-503 try to be medic for D Co. They're heavy weapons and do everything from a truck. Trust me, it's a much better way to do the grunt poo poo.

Back in 2013 the 173d consolidated everything in Vicenza, actually. I think Vahakayla will be at the new base, Caserma Del Din. He will, however, spend a lot of time training in Germany. Pretty much no training can be done in Italy because of Italian law and the only range that allows heavy weapons is on the Mediterranean coast. If it's too windy the Italians won't let you shoot, and it's often windy at that range. Instead, the training is done at Grafenwoehr and Hohenfels at JMRC, and includes a lot of training with European allies. While I was there it was pretty typically a month in Italy and then a month in Germany.
