The worst has been the PCS/ETS awards. I made sure the 15 soldiers from my old PLT was good to go and about 90% of them were approved within the first two weeks. I just took this PLT over about a month ago and went on leave for 2 weeks and before I left, I found out about 2/3 of the soldiers sent to me had no awards written, there was no rough drafts, none of them had levy briefs done, or was even prepared for it their PCS or know what to do. So now it's been an uphill battle to get everything done because the majority of them are leaving mid Sept.

It doesn't help that the division made us do all our team, sqd, plt, company training, NTC, support National Guard and the other BDE for their NTC rotation, just to come back and disband 3 months later. We literally had no time to prep for losing every goddamn 11B at once.

The best part of all this is, the first people to leave were the NCOs. So for every 20 e1 to e4 running around, there's one NCO. The BDE as a whole been sucking major dick with discipline problems due to this. Coke, weed, guns, alcohol problems has been ridiculous the last 2-3 months.

Soldier who didn't clear in time is still a loving retard. I got my only two NCOs taking turns babysitting him (and acting as his personal chauffeur. I still don't understand how a 24 year old man doesn't know how to drive) as he clears. He's out of the Army today and just completed his last ACAP, finally did his phase 2, and still has CIF, and everything else.

He cut himself and bled over all his CIF. Because he was too lazy to clean it and someone there told him they'll take anything with blood on it back no questions asked. Clearing him out of the Army was delayed 6 hours because of the giant cut in his leg that required 34 stitches. But he managed to get blood on every single piece of his TA-50....

I mentioned reupping because he's going to loving straight up be homeless and living underneath a bridge when he gets out of the Army, but he said no because he has a great job lined up making 6 figures when he gets out.

Serious answer: Because it'll make him someone else's problem and get him out of my ETS/PCS platoon because I'm sick of dealing with that retard. And he'll end up getting chaptered for being overweight/PT failure anyways.

Yeah... About that.... Apparently from what the other NCOs who worked with him told me he was overweight and failed every single one of his APFT's for the last 3 years. But his PSG loved him and fudged his poo poo every single time.

So before the guy was released I told his baby sitter that the Soldier had to clean his entire locker out before he could go home. We had a mouse infestation a few months back and lockers were covered in rat poo poo. Today we figured out where it was from. Dude had two to-go plates and what looked like a half eaten MRE in his locker. His old uniforms and civilians were covered in mouse poo poo/piss.

Feel super bad that he had to spend his part of his 4 day weekend escorting a retard around. I gave him Tuesday off as comp. Better than nothing right?

Health and welfares so you can bitch about "barracks sop" are dumb but health and welfares to find literal vermin make sense and help you find PFC Filth.

The NCO didn't clean it out, we made the kid do it.

Another retarded thing, his old leadership made him move to goddamn main post to the WTU barracks since he was getting out of the army to make room for all the new tankers and poo poo coming into the unit. So he's 5 miles away from our compound, has no car, or a license, without anyone to give him a ride to work.....

But the problem is, our entire BDE is transitioning to mech from light. So they PCS'ed about 90% of all the NCO all at once, while bringing in tanker privates in, with the 11B privates PCS'ing 6 months later. Then they moved all the 11B NCOs over to the infantry company, before realizing that they were 200% overstrength and there was no way to move the rest of the privates over. Which led to my situation, the 1 or two NCOs leaving at the end of year in each company got to stay, with their 40+ privates. The last 3 month all I been doing is attempting to get accountability (It's to the point where I have 4 formations a day to make sure those idiots are clearing and not in their rooms), writing awards for Soldiers I never worked with because their prior leadership was garbage, dealing with chapters, the ETS'er and PCS'er, while trying to clear myself and getting tasked with every red cycle detail. It's a loving headache all around and gently caress HRC for getting rid of the NCOs before the goddamn lower enlisted.

The only thing that makes this somewhat tolerable is the fact that I was suppose to take over as 1SG of one of the other companies that lost all their SNCOs. Lucky an armored E7 and E8 came right as I was going to take over. I probabaly would have blew my brains out by now if I did.

EDIT: Kid is still not gone. He was suppose to ETS yesterday. But still has to turn in the commander's signature for ACAP, clear the unit and installation.

It was loving miserable and just a week long march march with some react to contact here and there. We were told to air assault with rucks (Watching us get into the Blackhawk and out was hilarious. They had to close the door so the rucks wouldn't spill out and when we landed, the crew chief had to get out and pull rucks off us because we were stuck. Apparently the entire company ran into the same issue.), so no one bought assault packs to save weight. I know that sounds dumb. But ounces=pounds. Especially when we had over 100lbs of bullshit to carry for the entire rotation. About a day or two into it, they realized no one could make it more than a day with our rucks so they put it on trucks. So only 10-15 people had their assault packs. But we couldn't fit anything like sleeping bags, cold weather gear or woobies cause we HAD to bring our full mopp bullshit.

mlmp08 the reason why no one did the work, is because we're slammed with a hundred other things right now. Change of command layouts, 80% of the BDE is PCS'ing starting next week, an average of 2-3 NCOs per platoon, red cycle tasking, funeral detail, trying to figure out who has to get their PCS pushed back to support this OC/T poo poo at NTC, EIB, the hundreds of awards that is being written, all while every single one of the leaders is leaving within the next few weeks as well. I spent so much time dealing with everyone else's poo poo, I still haven't started on mine and I still need to figure out how to fix my orders for when I leave in 3 weeks.

If the kid ever decides to drop all that weight, get in shape and come back in, all the more power to him. It'll probably be better than being homeless.

Then they have to come in and show a NCO their clearing papers so someone can track their process.

Sounds lame, but we had 2 guys that we caught who were not clearing and just sitting in their room playing Xbox.
