Ted Rall is still making more on Patreon than I do every month. (granted, he's been around far longer than I have, but still)

Also, I'm genuinely surprised that I'm the 3rd user with the most posts in the last thread. I figured I didn't post as much last year, but I was wrong, evidently.

From The New Yorker. E:FB I need to read the thread first to make sure the same cartoon hasn't already been posted. Mister Beeg fucked around with this message at 21:54 on Jan 2, 2017 |

At least one (left wing) cartoonist said he's not gonna do a cartoon about it, because he found it too gross to even touch on.

I think this is the first cartoon on the subject.

I was browsing through "Medium Large" when I came across this strip: From 2010-ish.

Today's "Pearls Before Swine" (for those who don't follow the strip, there was, indeed, a storyline where Rat ran for president during the election. This is only the most fitting conclusion)

An alt-right shithead got punched in the face on live television today. That person who punched him did far more than what Rall would ever do. (he had a Pepe pin on his shirt, to bring this on-topic to the thread) EDIT: Oh, here's another "clown" cartoon to add to the pile: Mister Beeg fucked around with this message at 02:51 on Jan 21, 2017 |

I'm posting this cover for "Captain America #1" because it's fitting.

Edmund Lava posted:My favorite part of that comic is that it went on sale a year before Pearl Harbor. "Captain America" was, quite literally, created as a political statement against the Nazis.

Found this on Tumblr. Roland Jones posted:Not just any alt-right shithead, the alt-right shithead. It was Richard Spencer, idol of Steve Bannon, white nationalist who openly advocates ethnic cleansing, and inventor of the term "alt-right". Someone else spit on him later. It's great. Oh wow. That just makes it even sweeter, then.

After The War posted:I listened to an all-Woody Guthrie playlist at work today to drown out inauguration coverage, and given how many "America, get off your rear end and go fight Hitler" songs I heard, this fit right in. Woody Guthrie also hated Donald Trump's father, and wrote songs about him.

How many people are aware of Daryl Cagle's daughter, Susie (also a cartoonist)? https://twitter.com/susie_c/status/823986329738285056 Needless to say, she's more "on the nose" than her dad.

Something I wondered. After the end of the WWII, what became of the German people who supported the Nazi party when they were around. Did they basically try to hide their involvement with them after they collapsed? Did they ever admit it was probably a bad idea to put them in power?

For context, "manga in newspapers" refers to Tokyopop's brief stint in Sunday comics. Around the same time that happened, Ramirez got laid off from the Los Angeles Times.

So in the light of recent going-ons at Fox News, Ted Rall wrote a post about what its like there, having appeared as guest on the network back in the days of Dubya. There are some usual Rall-isms, but it's actually an interesting post. Sean Hannity really is a nutjob in person, even by Rall's standards.
