My roommate suggested doing 20 push-ups everytime I had the urge to pack a bowl. That's that kind of hokey boot camp bullshit that I love. As for the sleep, it's mostly the dreams that bother me. Weed made me not dream. In other news, I got an email from my school about my semester bill posting and holy poo poo am I glad vocrehab is a thing. gently caress paying $14k for a semester of public school

At CU I would have been paying close to 12k a semester, but with my pell grant, their matching grant, and a few scholarships I signed up for I realized I could've gone to school for free without the GI bill, granted I would've had to pay my expenses out of pocket. I miss starting each year with a cool 8k to blow

Yeah that's before any sort of grant or scholarship, and is also out of state (the school for my home state is 3 hours away and also awful)

# ? Jan 14, 2017 22:57 |
My school is about $35k a year. Throw in dorm fees, required meal plan if you live in dorms, and books and it's closer to $45k a year. It's legit cheaper to pay $1000/month rent and buy your own food than it is to live on campus. Private schools are ridiculously expensive.

There are some private schools near the Twin Cities that cost ~$50k a year. There was some article in the Star Tribune last year where the deans of these schools were whining about how their enrollments were down because of "sticker shock".

One lovely thing they do though is if grad students take undergrad classes they get charged the grad school amount. Summer of 15 I took 4 classes (Was miserable, oops), and had this grad student in one of them. He got charged $7k for one class, I got charged $5k for 4. Mind you my price was due to tuition banding which means you don't get charged for any credits past full time.

Grad programs always charge the going rate if you take an undergrad course. It's part of your graduate degree plan, then it gets charged that rate. Ideally you don't have grad students in undergrad classes though. That usually means you don't have the foundation you should have, or that your degree program has that much slack.
