The weird dates on Calvin and Hobbes might be from Watterson's sabbaticals, or from GoComics being borked by their site change. The strip for December 31st, 1995, is correct, though, and I don't have access to TCCaH right now, so we'll just ride this train.

Nah, Piraro lands jokes, they're just not big ones. And consuming other members of your same species for sustenance is inherently funny, it's just unfortunate that the visual shorthand for that is rooted in regressive stereotypes of other cultures.
