I'd like to see someone do Project Base and the hack based on it, Hyper Metroid.

Project Base is mostly a palette swap of the base game with a number of map changes, but also includes a number of QOL improvements, like being able to do the damage backflip on demand. Hyper Metroid builds off of Project Base and has a more open map layout that lets you sequence break in pretty much any order if you're good enough.

fake edit: the new Redesign is a loving nightmare and I wouldn't wish it on anyone.
