I'm not worried about the Panthers D going forward. I thought Gettleman's plan for moving on from Norman was a solid one and it's gonna look even better next year when Bradberry & Worley are more seasoned. Carolina's gonna have a ton of cap room this year, and there's some scrubs they could cut if they want even more room. That's a team that can be back in the mix next year if they regroup intelligently. Their defensive talent level is still so far ahead of the rest of the division, and they do understand how to get a comfortable, confident level of play out of Cam.

Both of Rodgers's iconic catchphrases are now associated with seasons where they didn't even make it to the Super Bowl. Feels kind of nice.

Take the Falcons out of this and I'd probably be at a similar level of enjoyment at just seeing Rodgers get poo poo all over again.

I mean, he didn't say "I believe we are going to win the Super Bowl!" either time and both "catchphrases" marked a huge turnaround for a mightily struggling team, so as nice as it feels for you, it probably feels nicer for us Packers fans that things turned around! :)

That said, Dom Capers is dogshit and has been the reason they've gotten knocked out of the playoffs 4 times. But also Ted Thompson sucks at drafting corners and MLBs.

Ted Thompson gets way too much slack. That roster is dogass outside of a few guys.

Uh, not really.

Oline was giving Rodgers all day, Bakhtiari in particular was a top-3 LT. RBs were injured. WRs are p drat good.

Defensively, Mike Daniels is a stud, Matthews still has some gas left, the ILBs are young and injured, Clinton-Dix had a banner year, the big liability was the DBs, which we knew and had drafted heavily in the last few years, it's just that injuries hit there incredibly hard this year.

Bakhtiari, Bulaga and Daniels are the few guys. They've got a few receivers too.

I suggest if you are depressed today you go watch film of KC from the past few weeks because he's definitely more than "might eventually be OK". One of the really big potential bright spots on defense, especially for a rookie. He's ready to get more reps in running scenarios for sure, and while he could use some arms work on passing downs (laterally, in particular, he's a little slow) he's already swallowing blocks. We just never have anyone to get home lol

He's already swallowing cocks. The packers are fruits

The trade was still a bad idea.

Winning the lottery doesn't make buying that ticket a smart idea - you where just lucky that a bad gamble paid off.

There's a lot of different ways to use draft capital, but as long as you're actually acquiring the right player for your team it's a blowhard stance to grandstand about how stupid a move it was. If the whole process is a gamble and a "lottery ticket" then stocking up on 3rd round picks is like buying a ton of scratch tickets. You can't indict the process in the same breath that you demand it be adhered to
