Bottom Liner posted:A Quiet Place - 4.5/5. Really enjoyed this, fantastic directorial debut for John Krasinski. The story is small and contained and the film respects its concept which is what makes it work so well. The characters are smart and the performances are fantastic. A couple of hokey beats but overall I loved it. Absolutely not his directorial debut & I highly recommend the portion of the round table interview he's on where after Michael Haneke details why he finds films like Downfall/etc. irresponsible to make in their use of human suffering as drama the moderator throws it to him & he essentially makes an accidental Jim Halpert face
