UraniumAnchor posted:Finally managed to get Ori up. I dunno why I thought I could get stuff done while watching my mom's dog all weekend, but here you go: Thanks so much. Ori is kinda notoriously unwatchable at Twitch bitrates, by the way, so having the direct feed makes the speedrun something that can actually be comprehended. Like, for real, that bloom does a number on compression algorithms and I'd kinda advise against having it in future marathons unless you guys can secure some super-source bitrate.

I'm sure a lot of this behind-the-scenes work goes unnoticed, but rest assured that goons know what goes into getting these horrible Youtube comment magnets uploaded.

dragon enthusiast posted:There was SpikeVegeta teaching the crowd at AOD2016 how to speed run SM64 last year I know this is pretty late but thank you for posting this. This was a really fun watch and kinda has me wanting to try some SM64 runs. It was awesome whenever one of the audience members pulled off a trick. And thank you UA for all your effort! Fixing video problems (and trying to make sure they're actually fixed) is a freaking pain and is so time consuming. It's really appreciated.

I love GDQ so that'd be freakin awesome. But I'm not a speedrunner (yet? I keep watching GDQ and thinking "Geez I need to start running something") and I'm in Australia so it'd be a big trip for me.

Holy gently caress that Ducktales race. I don't think I've ever seen one that close the whole time. Finishing within one second of each other!

The Super Mario Kart race at AGDQ 2016 had them finish within a hundredth of a second of each other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q7JTayEh4SY

I think they're pretty involved in PAX Aus as well? I think Softman25 is the person to hit up for that.
