I just burned through this and i thought it was great, but I am bummed that it appears that Jean really is clueless about what's going on and doesn't secretly have a plot within a plot.

Yeah im back on board, holy gently caress that was really well foreshadowed by a shitload of interactions throughout this whole show. And they did two regions in one episode to speed things along on the inspection front.

This series has been very chill but I would not mind some action (even just a flurry of political manuvering) when the coup goes down. I'm especially hoping the rest of Inspection HQ gets a cool moment like when Owl rescued Lotta from the kidnappers. Those ladies may be all about 10:00 snack time, but they in HQ for a reason.

This show was great, but a little too chill for me, the ~true villian~ was defeated a little too easily. Still good though, and really easy to recommend to people who usually aren't into anime because it has very little nonsense going on.Raenir Salazar posted:Well like ACCA you can have things that ~make it anime~ like the food porn; have it take place in space like in LotGH, or in an alternate history 19th century fantasy Earth with cat girls. I leave it up to Japan to figure this out. Did you watch Log Horizon? There is a fair bit of political maneuvering and other "sneaky plans getting revealed dramatically" in parts of the show. They use the backdrop of "trapped in a fantasy videogame world" but its not poo poo like sword art because the initial threat is not something mundane like death, but instead boredom. I liked it a lot.
