Even if they were sharing notes, there would still be a lot of individual trial and error, what with there only being three of them. This is not to mention any potential language barriers and various simple differences in circumstance and even personal preference from person to person.

Flying Witch was just last year, I wouldn't necessarily count it out yet. Unless there's just not enough source material to go with or something. And Nichijou was at least 2-cour (though of course I would love more).
