It's a little rich that people are claiming that D&D is a racist hellhole, an environment that gave gfsincere his own thread, supported and bolstered him as he personally attacked posters on a regular basis, and still had users defending him and saying we should be listening to him after he claimed he was a highly skilled security specialist who had broken into the forums, had proof of a conspiracy to hold our CC information, and posted a business card with his full name, business phone number, and job title. To the point that even FAU, who was extremely patient and reasonable with him in all other venues, couldn't reason with that. And still people were defending him and claiming the mod team was in the wrong for banning him. That is echo-chambery as gently caress.

I think part of the topic is how to get more people with a wider range of opinions involved in D&D instead of telling people they're stupid and to get out. There seems to be an odd struggle between people who think they own D&D and should have editorial control over the discourse, down to what words people can and can't say in any context. It's like most of the people here are doing a kind of verbal judo to get others to give up and leave instead of continuing a discussion.
