Hey ElMaligno. In the hangout chat someone asked "What is slack and why not just go back to #gip?" Here's the answer I came up with(complete with skipped words & mispellings --------- Slack is a slightly different social media messaging app than google hangouts. Slack is more customizable & has admins/mods for each group of people in it. The big thing for is that you can edit ALL your posts & the support system is a interactive IRCbot. Downside: username is a one-time thing. Why not go back to gip? Good question, hard to answer. Offsite chats like this & slack are semi-private, without 2000+ other people(somethingawful members who paid $10) having full access to meltdowns, opinions & altered state posts. You might want to add both the question & the answer to your OP

Finally caught up the thread. So....McNally is a depression angel of death? Maybe he could a start a service to stay away from happy people or ELSE. Florida is a state of mind to some, a humid hell on earth to others, and a place to live for roughly 21 million people + 10 Billion mosquitoes. Soulex, I hope your family makes it through the hurricanes.
