AFCE hasn't really been extremely bad as a whole. Probably closer to mediocre. There have been good teams in the division but they can't seem to get it together for very long and the Pats really are that good. The Jets managed to genuinely challenge them for a few years under Rex, the Phins like to split with them most years. The Bills are almost always just mediocre but never a real trash fire and they've fielded good defenses. The AFCE needs to find a genuine franchise QB (Tannehill is the closest they've found and lol) because none of the teams can stay good enough to build on their success to actually fight the Pats. I think the Pats would honestly just dominate most divisions the same way they dominate the East. They might have issues in the AFCN since the Ravens and Steelers always play them hard. The NFCW of the past 5 years (not 2016 though) would give them problems. They might have problems in the new AFCW as well.

Bill Wixey's just a dude, he isn't someone who goes out of his way to antagonize players for quotes. Man even compared to previous seasons when they were embracing their role as villains of the league this Seattle team was just plain unlikable this year. And not in a fun, "root for the villain because they get under crotchety old white guys' skins" way either. If anything the Seattle media coddles the team too much, so to see them lash out their frustrations at being a bad team against interviewers is really pathetic.
