Do you love his scrambled eggs recipe? Kitchen Nightmares Amy's Baking Company episode? Hell's Kitchen? That he was arrested with another man in a public restroom? Either way talk about the awesome cook who swears a cuntload! Lots of chefs/cooks, especially if it's in a region like the midwest and/or has a lot of senior citizen customers, avoid anything but the lightest of seasoning like the plague.

I went through a period of watching Kitchen Nightmares though some episodes I was sure it must be a set up. Having to ask for help from Ramsay because you have no customers and then him turning up and saying "your food is bad" and being convinced that can't be the reason just defies logic.

To their credit, i'm sure at least in the american show it's part of their contract to act over the top shocked that he didn't like their microwaved lasagna from a week and a half ago.

Huh he really did get "cautioned" whatever that means in a subway toilet with two other men. I'm assuming "cautioned" is uk English for "blowjobbed."

Zero self awareness, accountability, taste, or actual restaurant experience are all rare in the average person who opens a restaurant. As someone who's been a line cook since high school, that's easily the most realistic part of the show for me.

I would like to see a Mystery Diners/Kitchen Nightmares crossover. "Gordon, let me introduce myself. My name is Charles Stiles and I run a company called Mystery Diners. We've gotten quite a few complaints from the waitstaff about verbal abuse and I have to say...." "gently caress OFF YOU DONKEY!!!!"

Gordon Ramsay makes me momentarily wish I were British; I long for a world in which I could scream "gently caress off oval office" and it is received as though I said "give me a break". I must saythe irony of an esteemed, British, chef is never lost on me.

Most small business owners are god damned retarded and can barely function selling basic items to other people letalone running a high turn over service based business. It make complete sense that the most idiotic of those people would try their hand at the hardest service based business you can basically find.

I worked in restaurants of varying quality for many years. There is a chapter in Kitchen Confidential that is still extremely relevant about why you shouldn't open a restaurant unless you know what you're doing. I believed eve the term "enormous fixed costs" is used and he's not wrong.
