Reading those Steam reviews is kind of hilarious. Alot of people comparing this to Star Was: Galaxies New Game Experience. I have to wonder if any of them actually went through that, because these changes to Marvel Heroes have mostly been for the better. The NGE was just... Jesus... Ghost Rider and Thor are still fun too. And I finally manage to not be a complete glass cannon when playing Loki, so that's good too. Dashes and TPs are irritating, but I guess I'll have to live with it. No use complaining (too much) then.

There are a bunch of new items even if you ignore that every artifact and core in the game was revamped to the point of unrecognizability.

This was a much needed pruning and refining of a lovely and needlessly complicated set of systems and leaves the game in a much better place to iterate on in the future. As for dashes and teleports, well the problems with those and rapid transit breaking the game engine for a fair number of people was going to go down in two ways. What we have or using a different game engine. Guess which one was more feasible. I can't wait for this years to maybe turn alot of these Team-Up characters into full ones. Looking at you, Kamala.

I feel like they could have gone with something a little more in-depth than the Infinity system. The Omega system was bloated and inconsistent and unnecessarily integral to endgame competitiveness, but it at least had a little more character than just 6x5 sets of flat stat boosts. (Granted, it could've been even duller - after all, this is the update that also gave us team-up synergies.)

poo poo I might have to get back into this after a year or whatever. I play Barbarian in Diablo 3 and specifically a Leapquake style of build. I like being basically unkillable and leaping/running around everywhere smashing dudes in like they're paper to me. Which Cool Marvel Hero is for Me?

Thing's jumping around abilities are great post patch. You can store multiple charges on your flying elbow drop and refund regular dodge charges at the same time, even before you turn into a giant hamster ball

i really really love that abilities with movement built in have more utility now. iron fist keeps a ton of mobility in combat because he has a few. got iron fist to red last night, started x23. she's fun but i haven't figured out how to go about playing her. do love getting to figure out character skillsets again.

Ok, Colossus can completely ignore damage in CMM so you can just lead the extra bosses to pubbies and watch them die, patch redeemed.

Thing has talents to let you just spam dash and crashdown forever, sort of like leap attack spam. Hulk has lots of leaping as well, but not as a nice of a way to restore the charges, he still wrecks everything though. Juggernaut can run a steerable whirlwind forever.

Hulk roars and smashes the ground in various ways; pretty authentic. He also has a move where he turns into an asteroid and crashes back to earth which feels like they ripped it out of Marvel vs Capcom. When I was playing before, Juggernaut was pretty cool. Doing a lariat to dash around, dropped elbows one after the other, then just activating his sig and running in a circle around enemies while their health bar dropped. He was so much fun to play.

Do they no longer do the free starter hero? Seems like I'm stuck with everything capped at level 10 and no currency to buy any. Do I have to pay real dollars to get started? I'm lost as heck.
