Joey Freshwater posted:Someone said this earlier today but I'm too lazy to fact check but in todays world that means you can take it as gospel but apparently the NFC South is now the only division to have every team represented in the Super Bowl since the realignment. And yet the NFC East gets all the ratings...

So I generally don't follow the NFL during offseason, but overall it seems like the Bucs made a lot of good moves, am I right to be optimistic for next year?

A Pale Horse posted:They made two very good pickups in Jackson and Baker and resigned a bunch of their own promising players and didn't overpay for anyone so it was a good free agency period on paper. Yea, that, plus our surprisingly good last season, makes me optimistic we could maybe make the playoffs this year.

weird Asian candy posted:The thing that sucks the most is sooooooooooooo many things had to go right and wrong for that comeback. Dropping back to pass instead of running, penalties, snapping the ball with :20 on the clock, tipped balls that miraculously find their way into Patriot's receiver's hands, dropped interceptions, etc. etc. Proof that Satan is real and that Belichick knows the proper rituals. Which also means that Eli is Jesus reborn.

The game is over and I don't need anyone filling my view with dumbass revisionist or hindsight arguments about how or why it happened or could have been avoided. Sorry, you got blown out in the most historic Superbowl loss ever, people will literally never stop talking about it until another team chokes harder or y'all win a new one.

Chilichimp posted:Best avatar/post combo in history. The saddest part is that I'm not wrong. Like, y'all have to live with this shame forever, just like the Bucs have to live with have the most consecutive losses. Eventually time heals all wounds, but this one's still fresh. weird Asian candy posted:This is the unfortunate truth. Although "blown out" isn't true...at all...the narrative will always be, and rightfully so, how the Atlanta Falcons collapsed in historic fashion and blew the largest lead in SB history. It will be with this team until they win one. If they ever win one. "choked" would be a better phrase, sure.
