I think the best thing about these protests is that it snapped a lot of people out of their 'Trump won, everything is hosed' sadbrain funk and got them energized with the idea that we can actually fight back. Myself included. With Trump coming into office as an historically unpopular president and a bajillion zillion people immediately going out into the streets to oppose him it may be possible to pry off a few senate votes here and there and limit the damage he does. Not as good as having an actually sane and competent POTUS but far better than nothing.

I think the bigger problem is that it shows that the relentless liberal media hysteria about Trump being some kind of secret manchurian candidate is actually having an effect on people in the real world. There needs to be some way to combat this narrative because it's just as stupid and counterproductive as the "Obama is a secret muslim kenyan infiltrator" poo poo.
