the only way Toyota will get any non-Japanese media coverage for winning is if Alonso is in the car, so I imagine they will try their hardest to make it happen

Joest Mazda released their lineups, Tom Long and Joel Miller are out, Oli Jarvis and Harry Tincknell are in, with Pigot and Rene Rast the third drivers for the enduros. The rumor on pairings is Bomarito and Tincknell in the #55 with Pigot as the 3rd, and Oli Jarvis and Tristan Nunez in the #70 with Rast. Stout to say the least. http://www.racer.com/imsa/item/145988-imsa-mazda-adds-firepower-with-revised-dpi-roster

New IMSA rules: http://www.racer.com/more/viewpoints/item/146064-pruett-inside-imsa-s-key-rule-changes-for-2018 The only one i dont like is the static qualifying one. Seems counter to the idea of qualifying that you cant even make any adjustments to your cars. For rubbered up places like Sebring, might as well do 1 flyer and park the thing for the rest of the session.

Paul Ricard and Magny Cours are both boring, but Paul Ricard is a special sort of post Tilke rear end-suck after its redesign that should be forgotten. By comparison to that boring rear end place, Magny Cours gleams with fuckin' soul. I would rather watch the neutered Hockenheim than Paul Ricard. But I would probably just watch neither tbh. Man, the Eurosport1 announcer/coverage for Dakar is god awful. It was like getting talked at by someone watching it live with you who doesnt even like the sport. Also they didnt even show the results of the stage? The satellite feed announcer is better if you are looking to download a copy from a CERTAIN website. Also the RedBull TV coverage is actually pretty good, minus the dubstep.
