I would think driving for basically a factory Honda team for Roger Penske would be a better gig than driving for privateer teams in LMP2. Maybe the Russian/Chinese oligarchs funding those privateer teams pay really well, who knows?

Seems like Audi might've been off to F1 anyhow, but Dieselgate made it a pretty easy decision for Audi and now possibly Porsche to pull out of LMP1 and save a large amount of money for VAG.
