Should I try to learn to love 3, and play through 4&5? Is there any indication that they're going to get the Kiwami treatment? I was introduced to the series through Kiwami being free on PS Plus, and I've since crushed through, 0, K2, 6, 7, Judgment, and I'm about a third of the way through Lost Judgment. I picked up the remastered version of 3 a while back and barely scratched the surface. It just feels so clunky and outdated compared to everything else. I want to play 3-5, but if they are getting Kiwamified I would definitely prefer to wait for that.

Yeah I was very late into the game before I realized that there were permanent skills. It's helpful to search out permanent skills in other classes that compliment your main class' skills. For the guys, you only need to invest about 10 levels iirc in Host to get a multi target ice attack which was super useful.

If this ends up with Yagami dating a high school student he is supervising....well, I'm not going to stop playing these games, but I'm not going to be happy about it!

I just did my first Majima Construction battle in Kiwami 2 - Majima and his men did a song routine upon victory, after which I was confronted by Keiji Mutoh and Masa Chono, who apparently got into land development after retiring from pro wrestling. I really dislike the tower defence game, but I REALLY love the victory song, so Majima Construction was a roller coaster of emotions for me. In LAD there's nothing stopping you from singing "He's the man as you saw, Ichiban Kasuga!" whenever you win a minigame or something so I highly recommend that.

What is the boxing counter punch move? I'm finding it a little confusing to use outside of the boxing minigame. Do you have to be in EX Heat mode?

It's somewhere near the bottom, and I think it's the 3rd in a series of skills (Jab -> Hook -> Straight). It's not the EX Heat one, it's just a "press Y when enemy attacks" and it interrupts them with a big hard punch to the face with high knockdown. There's some EX heat stuff too, but EX heat is just, like, effort. Yep I just figured out that you have to buy the skills again with SP after you buy them with cash in the mini game. It does feel really good to use in the streets now that I have moves again!

I finally finished my last school story in LJ so I can polish that off before continuing with the main story. Unfortunately, it was the Biker Gang. Goddamn what a slog that was. "Here's the tutorial, pretty straightforward and boring, right? Ok, now do it 16 more times!!! Oh and for the last 4 we've made the long part at the end where you hold down the accelerator until it's time to use your boosts at the finish line much, much longer! You're welcome!
