I'm interested how much they start you with, because I'm assuming your starting party is already filled with 3 via the 2 heroes, anna, and probably your intro gacha hero. I remember Brave Exvious being a similar thing with a story and 3 main characters and they were like above-average overall.

I played a lot of gacha rpgs and I can't remember a time that you needed a 5 star to beat the normal content. Mobius final fantasy was abusrdly easy with default stuff.

I'm playing phantom of the kill which is quite literally fire emblem on a phone, and let me tell you ya'll bitching about a 6x8 grid with only 4 units do not know how tedious it is if you tried to convert actual fire emblem on a phone. It is a mess, I'm glad they decided to simplify it

Check the skills on your characters, stars are deceptive. Gordin is a useless poo poo bag because literal 0 speed makes him a complete liability on the opposing turn. 3 star Laslow has really useful skills for example.

Party set-up so far going into Tiki chapter is Virion/Shareen/Fir/Wrys. Fir is honestly a 4th whatever slot, Shareen is a good tank that gives a power boost and Virion is busted as far as baiting combat and reducing their speed. My opener is usually Shareen atk boost->Virion bait->clean up. Healers are busted, I assume those 2 range healers like Sakura are even more busted.

The 3 stars seem pretty good, I dunno. My 3 star Sally already has a unique weapon equipped and any bow/shuriken user is automatically great.

My opinion is that brave weapons are rear end because the -5 speed basically makes your unit hugely likely to die on the opponent's turn and you don't have enough movement options to make offense that much better

From what you describe of Hector, Hinoka is incredibly underwhelming as a 5 star. Brave Lance is generic, her only other ability is an aoe that triggers after 5 attacks but it's nothing special.
