I know a guy who got a NAM for being animal control for a couple years in Quantico. Also knew a guy who got a NAM for with a loving V for pulling a captain out of a burning humvee. The Captain got a bronze star with a V. I don't know, awards are stupid, I got a Navy/Marine Commendation medal for stopping a box truck that probably wasn't a real threat but crossed the magic "you're dead" line at a high rate of speed. e: also my Sergeant Major helped train the first Iraqi army unit and lead them in their first engagement. They retreated and were embarrassed. He got a bronze star.

The company officer clerk at my PMO got a NAM. She had three kids over her four year enlistment and never worked anywhere but the company office. Filing papers. I stood in the award ceremony formation next to a dude that I saw pull a captain out of a burning vehicle during an ambush. He too, got a NAM for his effort.

Does that rack thing ship stuff out in the same order that it shows on the website? Because I put things in like the PUC, CAR, and Meritorious Unit Commendation before I put in my Good Conduct (second award!), and it's showing as behind them, even though it's senior. Wonder how many people that's hosed in inspection.
