The day before Thanksgiving is, in my opinion, a great episode.

Also, Clown College is great if not just for having Paul F Tompkins as the professor.

Oh god, there's a committee? That's the last step before a taskforce.

Hank bought his other cars from a guy he trusts. He didn't trust that new guy at the truck dealership.

But yeah, him not even trying to fix the car is way out of character.

Buying a truck in Chasing Bobby is one good but of evidence why Hank is out of character, but not as much as the fact that Hank is himself a salesman. There's no way someone in his line of work wouldn't know that cars can be negotiated.

Chasing Bobby also has one of the funniest bits in the show. That's when Boomhaur makes the joke in the alley at Hanks expense. I can't find a clip and I won't even begin to try to type it accurately.

What do you call the difference between a man and a little squirt gun? - What? - Hank.

Yes, that's the joke, if translated properly. But that doesn't convey Boomhaur's delivery at all, which is what makes it so drat funny.

He appears in two episodes. In one, he is amazing. Everything he does is perfection.

In the next, he is beyond terrible. He has no funny lines and actively destroys Bill's chance to spread happiness and gain prosperity.

So are there good and bad seasons of the show? Should I stop watching after a certain point like with the Simpsons?

It's a little weaker towards the end, but it's still good. One of those rare occasions where a new cast member added in the later seasons is actually great (That being Lucky.) The entire series is worth watching. Even at its worst, KotH is still watchable.

Manic Kahn-Day remains to this day the only episode of King of the Hill that I have never seen.

And I've probably seen every other episode at LEAST half a dozen times.

This one was pretty painful in the context of current-ish events. "Why are (some kind of people) annoying?" episodes didn't age nearly as well as Bobby getting gout.

The worst episode of the entire show if you all me. Even worse than Mrs Wakefield and Hank Fixes Everything. Though Trans Fascism is very close as well.
