Owning a Luger is only cool until your have to clean it. In San Mateo there's an amazing gun shop called Krausewerk. If they are still up open you need to go. I promise you it will be worth it.

tastefully arranged labia posted:It's still there. Brian Nussbaum's place is gone though, second bankruptcy wiped him this year. Good. Is Mr Kraus still alive? He wasn't looking so good last I was there. I have the honor of owning one of his amazing pieces of semi custom work. He fitted a Springfield 1911 replacement slide from 1919 to a modern Springfield match lower after I requested a good shooter that looked like something a WW2 armorer would toss together from spare parts. I had also bought my M1 and a few other guns though him.

I got to molest a Henry's repeater that was from the batch used during the Civil war in amazing condition. He also trades in japanese swords but he doesnt keep any on premise except for a few cheap mass production WW2 swords.

ASAPI posted:Honestly, I'm totally cool with some form of gun control laws. Under one condition: Ok so it's proven that cheap, easily available handguns are one widely used guns in crimes. The average cost of a pistol is $300-$600 range. How about a tax on manufacturers on each firearm created up an established MSRP $500. So if a pistol costs $25 to make out of pot-metal and compressed kitty litter then the tax would be $475 to be payed by the manufacture before it even leaves the factory. So a well-manufactured pistol made out of quality materials costs $475 then the tax would be $25. The amount payed could be used as a tax right off for the purchaser. I think this could reduce the amount of lovely pistols being made that typically exchange hands off the back of a truck or straw sales. People with too many uses of these tax credits could be tracked.

I had a pair of Howard's but they actually seemed to be reversed and would increase all noise. Almost blew hearing out and dropped my 357 when I used them the first time. Tested at home by clapped 2x4s and yeah they were very defective. Test your ear pro before you go shoot.

Defend my house from Nazis and crabs at short range, $1k and I'm not a total idiot. I've swapped out car parts after following YouTube videos and reference guides. Also if I properly bribe Doccers I could get him to double check my work. I really really like dark red or green. I prefer something beefier and potentially resistant to being used as a club once or twice so bayonet lug is a plus.
