 some folks arent exposed to enough minorities outside media to make a good decision about them or not. sometimes gotta drag em into the next century and sometimes "educate yourself" isnt the best route..

Media portrayal of minorities is also overwhelmingly negative, so the black guys they know are all "the good ones" but out of towners should watch their backs. They're terrified of caricatures.

30 million people voted in the dem primary and over twice that many voted for Hillary in the general

turns out trying to restrict primary voting to party sycophants means you end up with weak general candidates. go figure

Also did much better in states which had open dem primary.

Surprise, the failed Hillary Clinton did really well with rich voters and loyalist bad Dems, but lost many working class voters.

Rural counties that Obama won by large margins in both elections switched over to Trump, which led to losing "safe" blue states.

Let's make sure the guy the resonates with both rural and urban voters doesn't win the primary!

Much like the Berenstein/Berenstain universe split, there is a universe out there where Bernie won. In fact, we are probably living in the only one where he didn't.

But would have.

Kaine did a better job questioning DeVos, there I said it

Like, Bernie delivered a haymaker with the "hasn't your family donated literally $200 million to the GOP" question, but then he just sort of said his stump speech lines again and let her say whatever back, like I got the impression he wasn't really listening to her thoughts about free public college (although to be fair I wouldn't either)

Kaine really drove home the point that she has no loving idea about public education policy and he did not let up. It was an excellent job that doesn't quite make up for him losing the VP debate to Mike Pence.

Of course this is all moot because (a) Kaine was not a candidate and (b) DeVos will be confirmed using Pence's loving tiebreaker vote gently caress poo poo gently caress

but it was still a good video clip

I would say "Keith Ellison" but you can't really run for President while you are running the DNC so so much for that

But the thing is, you can't really tell who's gonna be a contender in four years. Anyone who you can tell will run for president in the next election four years ahead of time will end up being a terrible candidate (SEE: Hillary Clinton, Jeb Bush, John McCain). Plenty of time for someone new to establish themselves.

Donald Trump is infinitely more hilarious than Shillary Clinton and besides which, he's actually passing some policies that help working Americans - Even some that Bernie agrees with!

Eg putting an end to TPP (thanks obama), renegotiation of NAFTA, wants to set minimum salary for H1B visas at $130,000 so that companies don't just import cheaper labour

Well I reckon it's because the democrat party's primary processes are unironically not democratic in the slightest - with plenty of ways for the corporate donors and party establishment to ensure that who they want arrives at victory

In that case you must be pretty upset that the dems picked a corporate sellout who couldn't even beat one of the most unpopular candidates in history instead of BERNIE FUCKIN SANDERS

like sorry but i'll pick someone who keeps their campaign promises (and Trump has) over someone who gives secret speeches to wall street for bribes and says you need "a public and private persona"

obviously Bernie is a far superior candidate to either giant douche or turd sandwich. Bernie 2020.
