i'm thinking about trying to make a DSA meeting here in france, but i feel dumb even thinking about it. would the dsa even bother with an international chapter (considering i could scrape up 5 expats to do so?)

Samurai Sanders posted:Since practically all I and my brother talk about anymore is the DSA, I joined and paid my dues, but I live abroad. I know physical presence is #1 but is it worth joining a local chapter (probably Seattle, my hometown) even if I can never go to meetings? i'm trying to form a chapter abroad. do you live in france?

Samurai Sanders posted:Nope. Pretty far from France. that sucks. maybe if there are some american expats near you they'd be interested in forming a chapter

Samurai Sanders posted:Possibly, but I don't spend much time with most other Americans here in Sendai. give people a place to vent, help make sure expats near you are voting, etc.
