What? I don't get to yell "I'LL FINISH THIS" anymore?

I'm involved with the Boston DSA. if you'd like to be put on our mailing list for events let me know, and I can get you on there. Either post in this thread or send me a PM.

I too am (newly) part of Boston DSA. Like what I've seen so far, excited for the next meeting.

If I was a garbage piss idiot Clinton supporter, am I still "allowed" to get involved in this stuff or will I get berated if I don't pretend I was a diehard Sanders supporter

I'm being half ironic here but I guess I'm curious about other peoples' experiences and what the general vibe is like. The DSA seems the best I can do right now because it sounds like they're getting good turnout and are actually organized.

The anecdote I've been using when trying to convert my friends: I went to my first meeting in early January, and since there were so many newbies with me much of the meeting turned into "Socialism 101". One of the sections of that talk was "Intersectionality -- Cornel West's version, not Hillary's". If the implication that Hillary's version of things is bad offends you, or if you're a fan of class-exclusionary intersectionality as a concept, this is probably not the right fit for you. But if you don't instantly explode when people shoot zingers at that wing of the Democrats, then you'll be fine!

I... I didn't think to look at this thread before going. I was the nerd up front answering questions randomly near the beginning.

Should've figured more goons would have made it.

Boston general meeting this Saturday right?

I hope to be there - I'll be the goon with the kid trying to figure out how I can convince the DSA to have an event nursery of some sort if they don't already have one.

In fact, this very topic came up at the meeting tonight -- they are searching for babysitting options for this thing now!

:siren: Hello DSA thread. :siren: Your lovely OP has organized a gangtag for those of you who have donated a minimum of $5 to the DSA, if you choose to have it.

If you would like it, please quote this post along side proof of a donation of sufficient quantity. Proof can be simply quoting an older post you made previously that itself contained donation proof, or if you are a new donor that wants it, quote this post alongside proof of that donation.

I can nearly guarantee that your title will be safe and sound underneath your avatars within five (5) business days, or whenever I check this thread, really. :hai:

Hooray!
