UFC has managed to become Strikeforce and are giving themselves the possibility of making Bellator viable by just giving away potential futures. McGregor, GSP and Ronda weren't created in a vacuum, they needed time to develop and emerge as the person of their time and place.

Instead we're one step away from UFC poaching Fedor from Bellator in the hopes to pop a buyrate, hell Cyborg is a case of this inventing a division just to showcase someone who will turn down the fight anyway, while Bellator pick up all the actual prospects and the divisions stagnate.

WME IMG is trying to Boxercise UFC, and it will be the death of the company if they go down this path.

Seriously though is there an undercurrent of these winners being cut because they're not Young American? Kicking prospects is just loving bizarre enough but if its only foreign prospects the interpretation may be "oh."

If WME IMG manages to mismanage so hard that Rizin succeeds as the first true successor to Pride it will be a worthy outcome.

If Bellator becomes viable however this is a fate worse than Kimbo and Dada death.

Yes but if you start relying on only names they realise that they control you and not tge other way around, UFC was successful in building by avoiding the boxing pitfall of letting the fighters choose. The loss of Lorenzo and Joe Silva contributes strongly to this. As for Sage and Paige everyone could see that was protection based on nothing and yeah it blew up in their faces. As for Bones he is one that shows what happens when you get too big too fast and burns out in a blaze of glory, like tge burn one feels from a fingernail raking the cornea.
