I didn't mind Bobbie's actor, for where the character's at right now how she was represented made sense. Even if her performance doesn't turn out to be that great, she's right in the Amos tier of "Yep that's what that character should look like."

It’s the writing, not the actress.

She’ll have her development when she gets her rear end kicked.

I thought the arm wrestling scene was a good way of establishing how strong the suits are rather than how strong Bobbie is - by themselves the suits are nearly as powerful as a trained marine, so when they wear them they're doubling their strength. So it shows that these aren't invincible Iron Man suits but if you're wearing one you can punch twice as hard, run twice as fast, etc.

It’s more than that. A marine with doubled strength probably couldn’t tear a steel bulkhead apart, but in power armour, an MCRN marine can.

Dresden is a very different character in the book. He's the project's coordinator, but he's not nearly as hands-on as the TV version. He's absolutely a sociopath, either naturally or thanks to shady Protogen brain surgery. He's described as an unflappable, impeccably dressed older man who sees the raid as an annoyance, but not a real threat. He presents the case for his work in a collected, practiced manner, assuming throughout that he's too important and powerful not to get his way, let alone to be personally harmed. Holden and everyone else in the room (there are several others present) are feeling something like "I hate everything he's saying, but I can't find the hole in it," and then Miller puts him down.

This, and Miller’s decision weakened by, as I said, the lack of knowledge about just how much of a sociopath he is and also, in the show, Fred Johnson’s acceptance of his terms.

In the book, Miller puts Dresden down while everyone is still in shock. He acts to pre‐empt anyone entertaining the offer.

I used to work at Bed Bath & Beyond. We sold something very similar, but billed for brownies. The idea was to make more crusty edges, but the effect was oveclooked AND unevenly cooked brownies. But, it would save power since it heats up more quickly because the heating surface has way more surface area, which I figured was the reason for it. At least, I told myself that rather than the prop room's real reason: "It looks space-y."

The energy required to run an oven is trivial for a ship with an Epstein drive. They’d waste more power accelerating that extra aluminum anyway.

I assumed that Martians just prefer edge pieces of lasagna.

The show made the stealth ship appear to be gigantic too, so it might just not have been able to get in there easily (or maybe to roci hurt it a lot, didn't take much to finish it off)

So fly to either side of the station’s disc and ventilate the Roci from there.

Using the station as cover to buy the Roci some time is a fine idea, but I think the sequence’s timing was off. Amos was in front of the camera for too long while the enemy ship was seemingly impotent.
