It’s been one of the major changes for drone operators as well. Read in counselors who can also call bullshit if the operator doesn’t acknowledge something like a civcas event might be weighing on them. https://twitter.com/julian_epp/status/1269024594603790337?s=21 mlmp08 fucked around with this message at 18:32 on Jun 6, 2020 |

I was in a unit that gave NCOs Union Cavalry sabers and a stand as their going away gift. Had exactly one NCO ask for the confederate equivalent. Of course the answer was “hell no.”

Socialism doesn’t cure racism, it just dulls the pain and puts a baseline of how crushed a group can be. If it’s done done well. If done poorly, you find a way to exclude minorities from socialist benefits for reasons. There’s also the hilarious stalinist propaganda about how the USSR cured racism.

Army is pretty variable. Pop-up 50-300 meter ranges are the basic standard. Depending on unit, that may be the bare minimum before moving to advanced marksmanship, moving live fires, stress fire, shoot houses, etc. But the basic pop-up also might be literally the only marksmanship you do all year.

First deployment did basic qual, EST scenarios, then live reflexive fires, then vehicle mounted, then vehicle mounted with halts to dismount and bounding live fire. Most recent past deployment: “If you can make it, there happens to be a qual range before you deploy.”

Yeah, the lead of the moving target and elevation angle are the trickiest parts of the shot. Plus the minor movements of a person’s head in an automobile.

I have attended exactly one handgun training in the Army where the instructor did not flag anyone and actually gave a decent 10 minute class. Every single other one, so many flaggings and no real effort to correct people. M17 way better than the M9 though!

I think the M9 grips felt fine, but they were just generally old as gently caress and clapped out, so it's not fair to compare to a privately purchased Beretta 92, even if you bought a used Beretta 92. Fit my hands fine, but I have large hands. The M17 is excellent in comparison, though. Just a great shooter, better recoil profile, and I prefer the safety placement.
