lol imagine thinking that 88 yards is some hard shot to make with a fuckin scope.

USMC has been shooting out to 500 yards for a long rear end time, I'm fairly certain it was that way since the springfield was introduced.

The shortest range is 200.

And it was always with irons, not even a scope, although that might have changed lately i'm not sure.

88 yards is so close that (properly zeroed) you can realistically ignore all variables and simply put crosshair on target.

6.5mm is a very fast, flat shooting round.

Using some old load data, it looks like the muzzle velocity of that round and that rifle was about 2000fps. Which means flight time for 88 yards is about .14 seconds, and if he zeroed at 100 yards the bullet drop would have been 1/4" high.

.14 seconds gives you about 27 inches of movement if the target is moving at 11mph, so it's not nothing. But it's not a wild lead either, especially on a target moving away from you.

I really hope her eye is okay. She can't see out of it and she's diabetic, which does not bode well. :(

Well you've got the battalion commander spouting a bunch of empty praise, the sergeant major threatening mass punishment, and the major that really, really wants to make his and his bosses OERs look good by making sure all of those boxes are green.

Basically every battalion command team in the Army.

Also the CWO5 threatening great bodily injury if anyone tries to make them do anything.
