How much of a gap is there all-around? If it's less than like 0.020" all around you can probably make it seal okay by cutting the pipe and clamping it down. If it's more than that, you need to buy some kind of shim stock and curl it up and stick it in there before clamping. Or get the exhaust company to explain why they specced the wrong pipe diameter.
