Yet nobody's keeping an eye on this kid in case he runs down a monster infested road looking for survivors of the sinkholcalypse?

Good lord that's a lot of jobs. Maybe it's just seeing them all lined up like that that makes it seem so many.

Yeah, the airship crew are really selling "comedic recurring antagonists". Dunno if they'll actually pull that off given how willing this game is to collapse the ground from under people.

It's always great when you meet someone who becomes a UI element. I suppose really only a dual-screen system could reasonably pull that off though.

Huh. Is this actually a Final Fantasy game with a single hub town? That's actually a neat approach if so.

I am 100% behind Agnes beating everything to death with as close to her bare hands as possible. For like the entire game. It's an interesting way of grabbing jobs, beating people up for them. But "asterisk" doesn't sound like anything all that... powerful or notable.

Are jobs limited, or can three people hot-swap an asterisk?

I like the sketchwork there in the mysterious writings. Really helps sell the idea somebody's trying to put down recollections.

That's a pretty acceptable set of generalist skills. It seems worthwhile to hang out in Freelancer now and again, especially if you've got some nice equipment that doesn't really work for another job.

I guess Ringabel doesn't want to interfere with any dramatic death scenes by tossing off a Cure and being all gauche.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to realize that the Sky Knights as a whole were a workable adventuring party in their own right.

So what are all these making that everybody has to turn them by hand? Pumping water? Producing goods for trade with all those nations that nobody can trade with because the oceans are rotted?

You'd think that of everything knights would just be armor for everybody but apparently not. FFV and FFT weren't this bad, were they? Or were the sprites just too low-res?

Yeah, now I'm curious to see what the Merchant job actually has going for it, though Thief is worth looking into as well.

Yeah, for some reason merchant really suits Ringabel. ...does he write a lot about ladies in his journals? it would seem odd not to.

I suppose this guy's coming back as a random encounter at some point, then?

That's an awful lot of knowledge about some random legendary chain, Kingy. ...jesus dick did these people set legendary monsters on their meal ticket to rack up the price?

I mean, I suppose if you believe in the power of capitalism enough to shove your head through a clock, you have to believe that good old-fashioned shank-your-neighbor-to-stop-him-being-employee-of-the-month-for-a-dollar is going to outperform the apparently endless bounty of the crystals.

I mean, we probably nearly died on the wind crystal and we'd been practicing for that. What would happen with a foreign one? That's how you get dead vestals, and dead vestals are the enemy.

Man, now I'm worrying. Are we the only ones who saw that entire city set on fire? Like, is all this death and misery just the act of a demon who's deceiving us and we don't know we're being deceived?
