Final Fantasy 5 still has my favourite implementation of it, where all the curatie and revival spells and items simply don't work because the guy in question had just finished powering through an entire boss fight at 0 hp.

In BD I got so used to fighting Asterisk holders for boss fights that 'normal' bosses like the Behemoth just ended up feeling weird and out of place.

Also yeah popping back in to mention that Wicked Flight (Airy Battle 3) is one of the absolute best music tracks in the game.
