From having playing Bravely Default (and Bravely Second, for that matter,) my feeling is "nowhere near as much" I think I'd call it "the minimum necessary to ensure product success", these days; the only people complaining about it are gigantic man-children, at any rate. Like, I'm pretty sure Nintendo'd get sued if they didn't censor the lolis in the games they localize.

I think the real answer is even simpler than that: Alternis fell in to the pillar of light but his opponents did not.
