So how do you 'activate' wether you're using Brave or Default? That screenshot wasn't very conclusive.

At least this would explain why praying to the crystal didn't prevent it from being corrupted in the first place.

I'm kinda surprised this entire thing is hidden behind a sidequest of all things. Remember, this entire quest and it's interactions are apparently missable.
