TheGreatEvilKing posted:You also have the problem that the game wants you to care about the Eternians, but if you skip all the optional fights you only see them at their worst. My main issue is that they never explain why the Eternians soften up so much from world to world, they just wordlessly go from racking up atrocities like they're playing War Crimes Bingo to becoming a quirky yet ultimately harmless bunch of fools. If it wasn't for the whole multiple dimensions thing they could have played it like a game-spanning redemption arc where you force them to admit their faults or change their views, but nope, the world 1 Eternians were assholes and got killed for it and now in this world they're outright helping you because ??????

Hobgoblin2099 posted:Also, have I mentioned that it's really lame that we don't get to be Airy's friend or redeem her in the end when her master makes it clear he doesn't care about her? Instead she just ends up being a snack for Ouroboros. Eh, I'd find it cheap if Airy just got a quick \Power of Friendship/ redemption considering she personally slaughtered the party in Ringabel's home dimension and countless others during the cycles. Some villains just need to be complete assholes with no redeeming qualities.
