quote:At one point Trump informed Turnbull that he had spoken with four other world leaders that day — including Russian President Vladimir Putin — and that, “This was the worst call by far.” quote:“This is the worst deal ever,” Trump fumed as Turnbull attempted to confirm that the United States would honor its pledge to take in 1,250 refugees from an Australian detention center. Trump, who one day earlier had signed an executive order temporarily barring the admissions of refugees, complained that he was “going to get killed” politically and accused Australia of seeking to export the “next Boston bombers.” SAD DEALS SAD YOU'RE FIRED MUH CROWDS!

The Liberal backbencher George Christensen has signalled he will break ranks with the Turnbull government to vote for a non-government bill calling for a commission of inquiry into the banking industry. The announcement from the outspoken conservative follows the defection of the Liberal senator Cory Bernardi this week. The...hero...we...need?

QLD and WA are both going to elect One Nation MPs but not because we are bad states but because we are the brave heroes that dived in first in which our death spiral will warn the other states causing the vote percentage share for the Greens to go up. We are the states that feeds Victoria's Spirit bomb while Sydney fights Freiza.

On Thursday One Nation disendorsed a candidate for the Queensland state election for not paying a $2,400 upfront fee to cover, in part, campaign materials. Elise Cottam, the candidate for Callide, told Guardian Australia she had intended to have her son provide marketing material for “next to nothing” but the party had disendorsed her for failing to meet a Monday deadline to pay. Literally using your son as an unpaid intern Mr Speaker

WA Libs have officially announced that there will be a Preference deal where the Liberals will preference One Nation in the regional seats and One nation will preference the Liberals in every other non regional seat they are contesting; pissing off the Nationals extremely.

UrbanLabyrinth posted:Forgive my ignorance re WA LNP politics, but how many regional seats would the libs be actually standing a candidate in (rather than leaving it to the nats). Details of the controversial deal were confirmed by senior Liberals yesterday, with Nationals claiming privately they had been double crossed. Under the plan, the Liberals would preference One Nation above the Nationals in the Upper House country regions, and in return, they are demanding One Nation would preference the Liberals above Labor in all Lower House seats they were contesting. Mr Barnett, who in February warned voters against voting One Nation, yesterday declined to comment. That's all we know about the deal at this point.
