“Have I looked to sign Kante? Yes. When he was in France and when he was at Leicester,” Wenger said. “I cannot explain everything [about why he preferred Chelsea] but it is quite obvious when you look at where he has gone. Was it the money? I do not want to talk about that. Transfers are transfers – you cannot explain absolutely everything.”

Arsene says he cannot explain everything about why Kante preferred Chelsea.

And Wenger may be right, but 99% of the reason Kante preferred Chelsea is because Arsenal aren't competing for titles and because they didn't want to pay him what he was worth.

Seems pretty clear to me that he's hinting that Kante went to Chelsea for money, but doesn't want to actually come out and say it.

Well looks like Kante will get the nice bonus of a league title as well then, so a good decision all round

Burnley are 10th and have managed only 1 away point all season. Its a funny old game.

A brief google has Kante at 110/week and Walcott at 110/week. Ramsey is at 80/week though.

No idea if any of this actually checks out.

Nah. Obviously Arsenal should have thrown money at Kante. It just wasn't true when you said Wengy didn't know why he signed for Chelsea.

Conte, trophies and wages no doubt all factored in.

What exactly is their problem with the FA? That they're not doing things the government want or that the board is composed of old white guys? Because it seems like they're mostly just that it's a bunch of old white guys.

Its that and also to make the FA more transparent. 3 FA chairman have tried to reform the FA and failed becuase the 75 person strong FA council have to vote changes through and it only takes 2 to kill a vote

All shall love me and despair!
It seems to me that if missing a tackle and clipping a player's foot gets you a straight red resulting in a four game suspension, then clotheslining a defenceless player in midair with your elbow should at least be a foul.

Both players led with their arms, one player jumped higher and ended up not being the dead one.
