Maatta has also been injury prone which makes guessing where he ends up even harder.

Kinda tough to develop as a hockey player when all of your limbs spontaneously detach any time someone glances in your direction.

That was Beau Bennett. Maatta was the one that somehow managed to pick up every single bug and virus that floated by him.

Are we still pretending the Pens are going to be rescued from their goalie situation by LV and not have to buy him out and eat the cap hit going forward?

Look at the goalies on the table. If Tampa moves Bishop, Fleury is going to be first cab off the rank for LV.

I think Raanta and Reimer would both be exposed and both way more likely to be picked up. For backups better than MAF the list is even longer. :v:

I watched that gif like ten times studying every other player on the ice and could not figure out what the big deal was. I didn't even look at Ducks' center because all he did was lose the face off and didn't get near anybody else. The idea that somebody might be so stupid to slash the loving ref didn't even register as a possibility until it was pointed out to me.

I spent a good 30 seconds looking for someone falling or twisting in a painful way then it occurred to look at the one guy standing still doing apparently nothing. Except it wasnt nothing he was doing.

Yeah, but that was ~15 years ago and a lot has changed since then. They've turned into a regular cup contender and built a brand new stadium. 10 years ago the Hawks were one of the poorest teams in the league, now they're the most popular and profitable American franchise after the Rangers.

That took Dollar Bill Wirtz literally dying to change for Chicago though.

Athanasiou probably maxes out as a 3rd liner 35-45 point player who looks good in small sample size so you can totally have him for a good return before Holland signs him to a 5 year 20 million extension tia

You know Holland would want veteran leadership and grit and probably trade AA for Rozsival and Tootoo.

Probably fire him anyway.

Bishop's contract expires after this year, there are a lot of goalies that can be had right now, and Tampa aint making the playoffs and LA is probably using this is a low risk backup just in case they actually make the playoffs. Probably something really obvious Im missing too.
