Lol yea, dude. Was definitely thinking about mentioning Superjail! in my post. Has the same grimey feel a lot of those 80s grossout/freakout animatons like Malice in Wonderland have. It's an awesome look, but I can only handle like one episode of Superjail at a time before needing a break from the brain numbing violence. Great show though.

I've never even watched Heavy Metal all the way through, but it's got that same just straight up sleazy feel to it. This is a cool scene that I remember coming across as a kid. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=tDtbhApINuU

Did you ever see the pilot of Korgoth? Metalocalypse was picked up for a series instead but I still rewatch this once in a while https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GaqjS_IvLpg

I wonder what a modern version of Wizards might look like, it was such a cool weird mishmash https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_lcxQCptFUE

Crosspost from the Belladonna thread: TCM channel is showing the movie in a couple hours, followed by Fantastic Planet.

Belladonna of Sadness is amazing, just had to pause it and say the 'black death' scene alone is worth watching even if you don't want to watch the rapey rest of the movie.

Fantastic Planet was good too but way too padded, could've been cut down to 30 mins easily.

That will go nicely with another DVD I have, which features unedited Popeye cartoons. They have a rather unique disclaimer at the beginning regarding some of the more problematic aspects of the shorts.

In that same vein, here is a really weird one from the Van Beuren studio, Three Little Kittens (1933). They drew a really mean looking deli slicer for this short, and its usage prompted me to share this with you all. :haw:

Jesus that's a vicious fight, just really pouring on the punishment.

This was one of the followup links: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZU71qHtAaY8 I really miss hand-drawn animated movies, all the cg movies looks so samey this decade.

Those were some pretty sweet music videos - thanks for posting them! While this is not a music video, I did stumble upon a neat one from 1984. Max Andersson's One Hundred Years, featuring music by The Cure.

To update: at long last, my Blu-ray copy of Private Snafu has finally arrived. Looking forward to watching this one!

That was good, thanks.

All the tool videos fit in this thread. Especially the early ones.

The latest stuff at Tool shows is being created by zbrush artist Meats Meier. I have met him on a couple of occasions and he is a pretty cool guy.

Weird and twisted animation is kind of my forte.

Before Howls Moving Castle tonight they played a couple shorts, one had stopmotion singing fish and was sad but good, the other was a cute new zealand made bit about elk having birds in their antlers singing. I cant remember who made em though :/
